Cartoon is one of the main reasons most of us watch TV , especially kids . We've watched so many cartoons that now we can differentiate between a good & a bad one .
When it comes to cartoon/anime Japan has really done great job and taken the animation to a whole different level thinng . But if we talk about India we never got to see even a single proper cartoon show .

Indian Cartoons :
We used to watch and like Indian cartoons alot when we were just small kids , because Indian cartoon community has always been trying to target the audience belonging to the age group of 1-5 for their cartoons .As kids we used like them even though they were poorly written and produced . But we find it cringe as we grow up .
Moreover India has never tried making cartoons for teenager , and this is where it lags .
Reasons for Indian cartoons to be so pathetic :
1 . Lack of creativity :
Creativity means ability to use your skill and imagination for something new . And in this case even if we observe and compare the existing cartoons , we can certainly find alot of similarities in them .
Most of the characters are written in a way just like the other cartoons . If something gets famous everyone just tries to copy it to the next level .

2 . Anthologist Episodes :
Anthology means being similar in the set of characters but different in the story of each episodes .
Anthology is not at all bad , but the problem here is ; almost (all of them) every cartoon is making anthologistic episodes and it results in no character arc , which makes it even worse .
But if we look at the anthologist cartoons like Shin Chan or Doraemon they have been doing really good even with their scripts and concentrating on whole teenage as well as kids as audience .

3 . No adventure based Cartoons :
Now it is not necessary that everyone must be make adventure based cartoons . But if the audience observes the variety they've been trying to deliver to them , there are no adventure based cartoons at all .
Everyone enjoys character arc but if there's no cartoon based on adventures or every cartoon is being anthologist then it makes it worse .

Future of Indian cartoons :
If the community starts observing the difference between the Japanese cartoons like Shin Chan and Doraemon which are loved by almost all the age groups , it would surely make them to give a hard completion and adopt various changes .
But the competition here is very high , because Japanese as a nation is whole known for making Anime/Cartoons & Manga's . The Goodwill they've got on their shows can never be brought down . But there are huge number of talented people in India .
Community may develop by beginning to adopt competitive scripts and increase the production level , then the community can surely be at higher level than this .
I hope the community gets better and hire talented , skilled and deserving people .
