WhatsApp is used by over 2 billion people around the world. & is the best messaging app so far in both android & iOS.
WhatsApp has many other features than just texting your contacts, for example, it also enables the user to create/join groups, update stories/status & mainly voice and video call to both contacts and groups.
Due to the current covid-19 crisis, there is a enormous increase in the communication in messaging and social media apps.
In a recent blog post, Facebook had said that the video and voice calling in the medium has increased to twice of the current especially in the regions, which have been most impacted by covid-19.
Thus, the 2 billion user messaging app WhatsApp has decided to increase the number of users to be in a group voice or video call.
The current limit of participants in the WhatsApp voice or video chat in groups is 4. But the WABetaInfo has spotted that there will be a update regarding the increase in the limit of participants in voice/video chat in group.
Though the number of participants, which will be maximized is not confirmed yet. But the limit will surely be more than 5.
The feature is not yet available in the beta version. But it will be made available in both android and iOS platforms. Every user will need to update their WhatsApp to be in a group voice/video chat.
“We've made it easier than ever to start a group call from WhatsApp for groups of 4 or less. From your group chat tap the video or voice call icon to start a call with everyone in the chat directly!” tweeted by WhatsApp.
The WhatsApp is also set to feature a call icon in the head of group. Let's wait for the update,
